Please understand that veneers can break if the patient does not take care of them. For example, if veneers are placed on the front upper teeth, do not plan on using these teeth to chew on a pencil! Veneers can be a problem with patients who grind their teeth a significant amount. We will always have our patients using a night guard to protect their investment. Many times we will suggest that veneers not be used if we feel that your habits will cause these restorations to break. We have other alternatives that can be utilized if veneers are not the restoration of choice.
